Indoor Model Airplanes Enthusiasts at Pikes Peak Ceiling Climb

Tightly wound rubber bands are used to power the flights of indoor model airplanes at the 5th Annual Pikes Peak Ceiling Climb at the City Auditorium on Sunday, February 27, 2011. The event was put on by the Magnificent Mountain Men Free Flight Club of Colorado.
 The Boyd family had three generations that participated in the Pikes Peak Ceiling Climb for indoor model airplanes. Ray Boyd works with his grandfather, Raymond Boyd, to get an airplane ready for flight at the event on Sunday, February 27, 2011. (JERILEE BENNETT,THE GAZETTE)
